You will find various definitions for what is, and what isn’t traditional food all over the internet and in various books in the library. Since this is my blog, I’ll share my definition.
Traditional food is whole foods. Foods that are made from scratch, not out of a box, etc. Healthy goodness accompanied with lots of homemade broth and fermented foods. Also choosing healthy meats– particularly free-range, grass-fed, i.e. not naturally produced. I also believe in raw milk and cod liver oil.
Does everyone have to agree with me? Nope. I’m not perfect, and neither is anyone else. There are people who do my definition of traditional foods better or worse than me, people who are vegetarian/vegan, and everything in between. Not every person’s chemistry is the same as every other. So do what feels right for your body.
